Reminder App ("the app") is made by Aimtera Labs ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your reminders stay on your phone. The app has no account and no server of ours that stores your data.
Everything you create in the app — reminder titles, notes, times, places, attachments, and settings — is stored only on your device. We cannot see it, and it is not uploaded anywhere by the app.
Backups are files you export yourself (Settings → Backup & about). Where you save or send a backup file is up to you.
All of these are optional. The app asks only when you use the feature, and you can turn any of them off in Android settings.
| Permission | What it's used for | Leaves your phone? |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications | Showing your reminders. | No |
| Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) | Making reminders ring on time. | No |
| Run at startup | Restoring your reminders after the phone restarts. | No |
| Calendar (read) | Showing your calendar events next to your reminders and letting you add alerts to them. The app never changes your calendar. | No |
| Contacts (read) | Finding birthdays and anniversaries in your contacts so you can turn them into reminders. Only names and dates are read. | No |
| Microphone | Speaking a reminder instead of typing it. | See Voice input below |
| Location, including all the time (background) | Place reminders: ringing when you arrive at or leave a place you saved, even when the app is closed. The app watches only the places you saved, on the phone. It does not keep a history of where you've been. | See Maps and place search below |
Maps and place search (Google). When you open a map or search for a place, Google receives the map area being shown and the search text, as with any map app. Your reminders are never sent. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
Voice input (your phone's speech service). When you tap the microphone, your voice is turned into text by your phone's speech recognition service (usually Google). Depending on your phone's settings this may happen on the device or on that provider's servers. Only what you say while the microphone is on is processed.
Crash reports (Sentry). If the app crashes, it may send a crash report so we can fix the problem. A report contains the error type, the technical stack trace, and your device model, Android version and app version. Before anything is sent, the app removes messages and other text, so no reminder content, names, notes or locations are included. Reports are processed by Sentry (sentry.io/privacy).
Feedback. If you choose Send feedback, your email app opens with a message to us. We receive only what you send, including your email address, and use it only to reply and improve the app.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on your phone. Backup files you exported stay wherever you saved them until you delete them. To ask us to delete a crash report or feedback email, write to us at the address below.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
